One of the biggest viral trends of 2023 was Hailey Beiber's Erewhon strawberry skin smoothie with taste tests racking up millions of views. And now, you can re-create it in Australia with this Skin Glow Smoothie.

Creator Merrin Schnabel, the founder of MADGE Beauty, a new Australian brand boasting dewy primers and lip gloss, says this smoothie produces impressive results with six easily available ingredients.

She says by incorporating these ingredients into a delicious smoothie, you'll not only enjoy a refreshing drink but also nourish your skin from the inside out, helping it achieve that radiant, dewy glow.

SKIN GLOW SMOOTHIE

Ingredients

1 cup spinach

1 ripe banana

1/2 cup blueberries

1/2 cup strawberries

1/4 cup oats

1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)

Instructions:

1. Wash the spinach, strawberries, and blueberries thoroughly. Peel the banana. Measure out the oats and almond milk.

2. In a blender, add the spinach, banana, blueberries, strawberries, oats, and almond milk.

3. Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy. You can adjust the consistency by adding more almond milk if needed.

4. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. You can also garnish with additional berries if you want.

How These Ingredients Support Glowing Skin:

Spinach: Spinach is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as antioxidants like beta-carotene, which help repair skin cells and protect against damage from UV radiation, thus promoting a healthy glow.

Banana: Bananas are packed with vitamin C and manganese, which aid in collagen production, maintaining skin elasticity, and preventing premature ageing. They also contain silica, a mineral that contributes to youthful skin.

Blueberries: Blueberries are antioxidant powerhouses, containing high levels of vitamin C and anthocyanins. These compounds help fight oxidative stress, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation, all of which contribute to radiant skin.

Strawberries: Like blueberries, strawberries are loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants, which promote collagen production and protect the skin from environmental damage. They also contain ellagic acid, known to combat wrinkles and fine lines.

Oats: Oats are a great source of silica, which strengthens connective tissue and supports skin health. They also contain beta-glucans, which help maintain moisture balance, keeping the skin hydrated and plump.

Almond Milk: Almond milk is fortified with vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect skin cells from damage caused by free radicals. It also contains copper, which aids in collagen production and supports skin elasticity.
