THE AUSSIE FASHION LABEL CHAMPIONING QUALITY & STYLE TO LAUNCH IN THE US
An Australian fashion label which boasts limited-release collections to focus on quality and style is planning to launch in the US.
Viral TikTok phenomenon, Sasha Morpeth has transformed her digital influence into a thriving fashion empire called Sasha Therese, with a 10,000 strong waitlist for their most popular pieces.
Since launching, last year the new brand has generated more than $1 million in sales in its first year of operation.
Co-founders of successful beauty brand, Alya Skin Manny Barbas and James Hachem made the move into fashion with a vision to empower women alongside well-known influencer, Sasha Morpeth, utilising her skill for designing elegant pieces.
Sasha, who has 4.5 million followers on TikTok, rose to fame filming videos alongside her mother, Therese.
The love and close relationship she shares with her mother formed the inspiration behind the fashion label where Sasha plays an integral role in shaping its stylish aesthetic.
Her focus has remained on high-quality pieces that are not only timeless but are also comfortable and flattering ensuring the wearer is brimming with confidence.
The designs also can be worn in multiple ways, giving customers a chance to wear the same garment more than once with an entirely different look.
Sasha first envisioned Sasha Therese’s popular Perla designs from a cherished pearl necklace she wore religiously when she was younger.
While she would have loved to pair with high-neck tops, the combination often fell short of expectations.
She also adored backless designs but struggled to find high-quality options. This challenge led her to innovate and combine her love for pearls and backless styles.
The result? The best-selling Perla top and dress— a stunning high-neck, backless halter adorned with exquisite pearl detailing around the neck and back.
These designs marked the beginning of Sasha Therese, setting the tone for a label that continuously evolves. Sasha’s creative vision and dedication to quality have since expanded into future collections, making the fashion brand synonymous with elegance and innovation.
Barbas and Hachem are well-versed in successful brand building, generating $55 million in sales at Alya Skin before exiting the business in November 2022.
Their passion however not only lies in building brands but also in fostering a strong brand community which has carried them well with the launch of Sasha Therese.
“Put simply, James and I love building brands we can be proud of and we love building a community around our brands. With Alya Skin, our customers felt an emotion from using our products - confident, clean skin," Manny said.
"It's the same thing with Sasha Therese. Women feel confident/love/connection by wearing our garments. They can walk with confidence wearing Sasha Therese.”
“I’ve always wanted to start a fashion label and a big motivator for me to chase after my dreams is my mother, Therese," Sasha said.
"She has always been my biggest supporter and our relationship is something I will cherish forever. That’s why I decided to call the brand Sasha Therese.
"Manny and James helped me grow the business and bring my vision to life. Designing garments is something I’m extremely passionate about and our goal is to ensure that our customers are provided with high-quality pieces that make you feel confident within yourself.
"Confidence and empowerment is a big passion of ours - and it’s something we hope our customers feel when wearing Sasha Therese."
With an aim to become the go-to fashion label for women ages 20-30 years old, Barbas, Hachem and Morpeth have no plans of slowing down.
The trio are gearing up for their USA launch in the next twelve months to grow their retail presence overseas as well as at home.
They’ve already had to grow their existing product lines so it might not be long till customers see more accessories down the track.
