Celebrate International Waffle Day next Tuesday by flipping your dinner game upside down. The new Duraprès Fill N' Flip, designed in collaboration with chef Curtis Stone, makes waffles stuffed with oozing chocolate, melted cheese, or crispy bacon easier—and tastier—than ever. Here is Curtis' delicious stuffed pizza waffle recipe. Enjoy!


Stuffed Pizza Waffles 

Prep & Cook: 23 minutes 

Serves: 5 

Difficulty: Easy 

 

INGREDIENTS 


Nonstick cooking spray 

4 cups waffle batter (Curtis recipe HERE

4 slices mozzarella 

2 large egg whites 

2/3 cup cooked crumbled Italian sausage 

1/3 cup marinara sauce 

1/3 cup pepperoni slices 

1/3 cup sliced roasted red capsicum 

 

METHOD 


1: Preheat the oven to 95°C. Place a wire rack over a large baking tray and place the tray in the oven. 

2: Preheat the Fill N’ Flip. 

3: Lightly spray the lower and upper plates with cooking spray. Pour 1/2 cup batter into the lower plate. Top with one slice of cheese, one tbs marinara, 1/4 of the sausage, pepperoni, and capsicum. Top with 1/3 cup batter. 

4: Close the lid and cook for 8 minutes or until golden and crisp. Carefully remove the waffles and transfer them to the oven to keep warm while making the remaining waffles.
