Are you ready to take on Australia's most calorie-packed take-away? KFC's Double is making a comeback with a twist on June 11.

And with a whopping 950 calories per serving, this indulgence is not for the faint-hearted.

As well as the Double returning, there will be three variations, including what may be the most delicious incarnation yet: the Waffle Double. 

The new Waffle Double consists of a golden, fluffy waffle, bacon, and smokey maple mayo packed between two new Original Crispy KFC chicken fillets.

First arriving on our shores in 2011, the Double has since reached cult status, with every new inception becoming an instant favourite amongst KFC devotees and foodies alike—from the Zinger Mozzarella Double to the Pizza Double and Zinger Tower Double.

Tami Cunningham, CMO at KFC Australia, said: “As one of our most requested menu items, we're excited to bring back the iconic Double, this time with a sweet new twist.

"We’re sure fans will be rushing in to get their hands on the new Waffle Double and Original Double, alongside the returning Zinger Double. "

Gracing menus from June 11 to Monday, July 8, the Waffle Double, Zinger Double and Original Double can be purchased from participating restaurants nationwide as a standalone treat or in a Combo or Box if you want a full feed.
